ITA After School – first meeting
The kick start of our programme has surprisingly gathered 12 out of the 13 participants enrolled. The timing was tight and I anticipate it will be even tighter throughout the programme, but I believe each of us enjoyed the almost 2 hours of togetherness as art students.
For this first event we have put up a “hand raising” poll to see how we anticipate our future practice in relation to the theoretical/artistic studies that we are currently doing. The most preferred working domains that the participants currently envisage for their future are art education and research, while collecting and museology are preferred by the fewest ones. We’ll see if or how these options change in the next months.

- proposal of text to be read, analyzed, synthesized and discussed (the proposed text is: Liam Gillick, Contemporary art does not account for that which is taking place, e-flux journal, december 2010)
- proposal for individual text handout: “My Best Text Ever”
- individual preparation for video interviews
